Our 7 Favourite Rooftop Bars in Bali [2026]

There’s no shortage of amazing sunset spots in Bali. But for us, it’s even better when we’re sitting high above it all, soaking up panoramic views from a gorgeous rooftop bar.

While Bali doesn’t have any skyscrapers (or particularly tall buildings for that matter), over the past few years, we've still managed to discover a handful of incredible rooftop venues, from luxury hotel lounges to quirky tropical hideaways overlooking the ocean.

We've put together this guide to share our favourite rooftop bars in Bali, featuring all the top spots and some lesser-known hidden gems you won’t find in other guides.

1. Sunset Park @ Potato Head, Seminyak

Most people have heard of Potato Head Beach Club, but did you know the popular resort complex is also home to a stylish rooftop bar? Sunset Park sits on the top floor of Potato Head Suites and is one of our favourite hidden gems in Seminyak for sunset drinks with a view.

Staying true to Potato Head’s eco-friendly ethos, the bar’s modern yet minimalist all-blue decor is made from upcycled waste from the hotel and beach club. It's fully open-air, with incredible views over Petitenget Beach and the ocean.

More laid-back than the lively beach club below, the bar serves a menu of innovative cocktails (with tropical flavours and local twists), imported wines, beers, and light bar snacks. Make sure to try the cassava fries – they were our fave!

There are a handful of sofa areas and long tables spread over the rooftop, perfect for bigger groups, as well as bar stalls and tables for couples. We chose some of the casual seats surrounding the long central bar, where the friendly bartender shared some great local recommendations while making our drinks.

With its relaxed vibe, great cocktails, and stunning sunset view, Sunset Park is ideal for impressing a date or a pre-dinner aperitif before heading to one of Seminyak's many luxury restaurants.

2. L’Atelier by Cyril Kongo, Nusa Dua

L’Atelier by Cyril Kongo is definitely one of the quirkiest rooftop bars we've ever been to in Bali. Located on the top floor of The Apurva Kempinski in Nusa Dua, it's both a cocktail bar and colourful artist studio for world-renowned graffiti artist Cyril Kongo.

Visiting felt more like stepping into a modern art gallery than the rooftop bar of one of Bali’s most luxurious hotels. There was bold, colourful artwork everywhere, from a graffiti-covered grand piano in the centre to huge murals on every wall.

Outside, the bar's long terrace offers impressive views over the huge luxury resort below and out to the ocean in the distance. It's technically one of the highest rooftop bars in Bali, due to the way the Kempinski cascades down the cliffside.

While the aesthetic was fun and playful, the drinks menu felt a little more luxurious. The cocktails were creative and beautifully presented, with extensive champagne, wine, whiskey, and spirit options. They also had a huge selection of Cuban cigars and shisha.

There's a small menu of Mediterranean-style sharing plates. We had the croquettes to accompany our drinks, but tried not to over-indulge before heading down to the Kempinski's Koral aquarium restaurant for dinner (these two make a great combo).

3. Moonlite, Seminyak

Moonlite is a stylish rooftop bar and restaurant in Seminyak on top of the Grand Seminyak Hotel. There’s a dedicated elevator at the front of the hotel that takes you straight up to the rooftop. Its location, just steps from the sand, makes it a great place to enjoy views of Double Six Beach without dealing with the sunset crowds.

It's best to make a reservations in advance if you want one of the very front tables overlooking the beach. We hadn't booked, so we missed out on those, but still had a great ocean view from our table a couple of rows back.

The bar has a large wine list and some fantastic cocktail deals. During our visit, cocktails were Buy 1 Get 1 Free from 4:30-6pm. From Thursday to Sunday, they currently offer free sunset cocktails for women (double check their Instagram)!

Many other guests were having dinner, but the staff were more than happy for us to just enjoy a couple of sunset cocktails. The food did look great though, with many Southeast Asian dishes like pad thai, massaman curry, and nasi goreng. We'll definitely go back again to try it!

To accompany the sunset, a live band started playing inside which we could still enjoy from the terrace through the speakers.

4. The Infinity Sunset Bar, Jimbaran

The Infinity Sunset Bar sits on top of the Platinum Hotel Jimbaran Beach. It’s one of those hidden rooftop spots that most people assume is just for hotel guests, but it’s actually open to outside visitors too.

As Jimbaran's tallest building, the rooftop has incredible 180-degree views across the entire coastline. It was especially beautiful at sunset, but really came alive later in the evening when we could watch the fireworks displays lighting up the sky from various bars along Jimbaran Beach.

The cocktails here were seriously good too. We wish we could tell you exactly what we ordered, but we left it to the bartender's choice, and it didn’t disappoint.

If you’re hungry, their à la carte menu has a mix of Western, Indian, and local dishes. We tried the pasta, and it was surprisingly tasty thanks to the hotel's Italian head chef, who even popped out to say hi. On weekends, they have an all-you-can-eat BBQ feast.

There’s live music every evening from 7pm, with a different local band performing each night. The night we visited, the band was taking song requests from guests and nailed every single one (we requested "Englishman In New York" in case you were wondering!).

Each Friday and Saturday, there's also free social dance from 6-8pm, with a mix of Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, and Zouk.

5. Sol Rooftop, Canggu

Sitting right above Pererenan Beach, Sol Rooftop is part beach club and part trendy rooftop bar. It has a similar look and feel to nearby La Brisa Beach Club, with tropical rattan features and a cool boho-chic vibe. It’s also entirely open-air with a panoramic ocean view.

When it’s just the two of us, we like to cosy up on the hammock nets on the upper deck, but the booths are ideal if you have a bigger group. On the lower deck is a small pool, complete with floaties and sun loungers. They have a DJ playing tropical beats throughout the day until close at 11pm.

Around sunset is when the atmosphere at Sol really picks up. The rooftop pool club is perfectly positioned to enjoy the fiery colours that light up the sky as the sun dips below the horizon.

Some daybeds and lounge areas have a small (200,000 IDR ⓘ) minimum spend during peak times. But most areas are free to use, so it doesn’t matter whether you plan to spend the entire afternoon here or just pop by for a quick sunset drink.

6. SOLU Rooftop, Seminyak

SOLU Rooftop (not to be confused with Sol Rooftop) is a brand new rooftop bar and restaurant on top of the iSuite Hotel in Seminyak. It's relaxed yet elegant and has a peaceful, low-key vibe - it's still very new, so it's a bit of a hidden gem for now!

The open-air bar had a nice cool breeze and sweeping views across all of Seminyak. There was even a small pool hidden within the greenery, which restaurant guests can use when meeting a minimum spend.

The bar serves some great cocktails and is perfect for a chilled drink while watching the sun set over the ocean in the distance. We decided to treat ourselves to their steak and wine deal, which made for a lovely date night.

SOLU rooftop is part of Ekosistem Hotels, who support great initiatives across Bali. During our visit, the staff told us about the zero-hunger initiative they support to provide food and basic essentials to underprivileged communities in Bali. They donate a portion of every purchase to the cause.

7. Ji Terrace by the Sea, Canggu

Ji Terrace by the Sea is a hidden rooftop restaurant and bar at the very end of busy Batu Bolong in Canggu. It’s located on the top two floors of Bale Sutra, an old Japanese-Chinese temple that was transported and reconstructed here.

The bar felt very unique, with traditional architecture, intricate carvings, and red lanterns that lit up after dark. The atmosphere was very different from most other bars and beach clubs in Canggu. Not to mention the amazing ocean views.

We'd recommend going at least an hour before sunset to secure one of the front seats on the top terrace, which has the best views. After sunset, it was a great spot to enjoy the starry skies above (we were lucky to visit on a clear day).

The food menu is Japanese-inspired, with dishes like sushi, ramen, tempura, and yakitori. If you’re feeling adventurous, they also have signature Japan-inspired cocktails with ingredients like Japanese whisky, sake, and infused tea.
