7 Best Beach Clubs in Seminyak [With Map]

Seminyak is one of the Bali’s most vibrant and lively tourist towns. Known for its stunning beaches, upscale vibe, and excellent nightlife, Seminyak is also home to some of Bali’s best beach clubs.

Sitting on the island's west coast, you can expect incredible sunset views no matter which one you choose. Beyond this, each offers something a little different, from family-friendly settings to luxury chill-out spots.

In this guide, we’ll share our favourite beach clubs in Seminyak and the surrounding area so you know what to expect.

Beach Clubs in Seminyak

1. Desa Potato Head

Located right on the beachfront in Seminyak is Desa Potato Head, our favourite spot to enjoy the island's amazing sunsets from the pool with a drink in hand.

The huge beach club is modern yet artsy, with an unusual colourful facade made from thousands of recycled window shutters and lost flip-flops.

During the day, Potato Head has a laid-back atmosphere and is never too crowded. You'll find multiple pools spanning the beachfront, with various seating and bar areas offering stunning ocean views.

Potato Head's chilled vibe appeals to everyone, from young people to families with kids and older couples.

Desa Potato Head is free to visit and the pool and bar areas are open to anyone. If you want a daybed or lawn mattress, there's a minimum spend. But we usually arrive just before sunset and enjoy our drinks in the pool without needing a daybed.

The beach club is part of the Potato Head Suites & Studios, a 5-star resort featured in the World’s 50 Best Hotels.

The club and resort are known for their eco-friendly approach and zero-waste commitment. Upon entering, you'll notice the workshops that turn plastic waste into furniture and art installations dotted around the club. They also support many community projects including mangrove conservation and orphanages in Bali.

Another thing we love about Potato Head is that it offers far more than your standard Bali beach club.

You can enjoy yoga and wellness sessions, fitness classes, beach clean-ups, cocktail-making classes, documentary screenings, kids events, and loads more - see the full schedule here.

There's also free live music on Sunday evenings and regular wild club nights at their on-site nightclub Klymax Discotheque.

Or you can simply grab a drink and watch the sunset from one of the pools. It's completely up to you.

2. Ku De Ta

Ku De Ta is one of Seminyak’s original beach clubs, remaining a firm Bali favourite for almost 25 years.

What makes Ku De Ta stand out is its luxurious and exclusive vibe and award-winning culinary offering. There's a casual and reasonably priced lunch menu, but the dinner menu (from 5pm) is when you get the real good stuff.

The venue's South African head chef has created a fantastic menu that features the likes of wood-fired steaks amongst other Western and Indonesian dishes. If you're a meat-eating foodie, you'll love it.

This is another of the more family-friendly options. During the day, kids can enjoy the small beachfront infinity pool. On Sundays, they even have family activities from 10am-2pm.

Throughout the rest of the week, the club hosts activities such as yoga, workshops, and volleyball (find out more on Instagram). They even have a spa where you can get massages and treatments.

And if it's a party you're after, KU DE TA is known for hosting some of the biggest beachfront parties in Seminyak each summer season, including their extravagant annual White Party.

There’s no entry fee to KU DE TA. Although a minimum spend applies if you want a day bed. Some of the bigger evening events are ticketed.

3. Mrs Sippy

Mrs Sippy is a family-friendly beach club with a casual vibe and a DJ usually playing tropical beach club beats.

They have a large lagoon-style pool with a swing and diving platforms up to 5m tall if you’re brave enough. But it’s the floating beanbags and big inflatable ducks that caught our eye.

Onsite, they have the Mrs Sippy Seafood Market which is inspired by the seafood market in Jimbaran. It specializes in serving freshly caught seafood which you can choose yourself. If that isn't to your taste, they have a wood-fired pizza oven too.

There's a 100,000 IDR entry fee for everyone, plus minimum spend applies for some seating areas.

4. Mano Beach House

Mano Beach House is an intimate day club on Seminyak’s quieter Petitenget Beach. It has minimal bohemian décor with a choice of bean bags and day beds. There’s no DJ like other beach clubs, just a low-key vibe and chilled-out music for a relaxing afternoon by the sea.

The food alone at Mano is worth the trip. They have separate lunch and dinner menus offering everything from octopus salad to wagyu beef.

True to their ‘island life’ vibe, sustainability is a big part of their ethos. They love to explain that their dishes use almost exclusively local produce and how they partner with organic farms across the island.

Although there are some tables with no minimum spend, these are right at the back in the restaurant area where there isn’t much of an atmosphere. If you’re spending the day here, we’d recommend reserving a day bed or a spot in the courtyard area with a better vibe (min spend from 300,000 IDR).

5. Mari Beach Club

Mari Beach Club sits right on the border between Canggu and Seminyak, alongside Batu Belig Beach.

The club is made almost exclusively from bamboo, with a chic bohemian style perfect for a tropical island. It’s much quieter than other Seminyak beach clubs with a laid-back vibe and few crowds.

The club sits right along the beachfront with an infinity pool offering ocean views. Beyond the pool, the front deck provides the best seats in the house, with the sunbeds just a few metres from the ocean at low tide.

Although it’s a modern beach club, we love that they have retained some traditional Balinese features such as regular Kecak dance performances and an Ayunan Jantra - a type of wooden swing used in festivals and ceremonies.

If you enjoy seafood, you'll love their menu which has a great selection of poke bowls, sushi, and fresh fish. For non-fish eaters like us, other options include sharing plates and an extensive choice of local Indonesian dishes.

Beach Clubs Near Seminyak

6. FINNS Beach Club

If it's a wild all-day party you're looking for, FINNS Beach Club is the place to be! It's not quite in Seminyak, but just 20-30 minutes north in Berawa (south Canggu).

You can expect a lively atmosphere throughout the day and night, with no less than nine bars across the complex, including a 360-degree swim-up bar in the main pool. The DJ kicks off early and dancers are already on the podiums by sunset. We’ve partied here several times and the club only gets wilder as the night goes on.

FINNS is a place for young people who like to party. While some areas are advertised as being more family-friendly, there are better beach clubs in Seminyak for children, such as those mentioned earlier (Potato Head, Mrs Sippy, Ku De Ta, etc).

General admission to FINNS is free with no need to book ahead. You can hang out in the pools or bar areas for free. There are cheap lockers in the changing rooms to leave your belongings. But if you want a lounger or day bed, you’ll need to commit to a minimum spend.

FINNS have an extensive food menu compared to other beach clubs with separate restaurants offering Italian, Mexican, Sushi, Indian, and classic dishes.

Whilst the food doesn't come cheap, drinks prices are pretty reasonable, especially during the daily 2-4-1 happy hour from 5-7pm. This is the time to get your orders in!

7. Atlas Beach Fest

Also in Berawa (almost next door to Finns) is Atlas, the self-proclaimed biggest beach club in the world. This doesn't even feel like an exaggeration - it's massive! It's a lively vibe with a party atmosphere.

Entry on a regular (non-event) day is 250,000 IDR per person, which includes your first drink. If you want a daybed or seating in the VIP area, there’s an additional minimum spend policy. We recommend arriving before 1pm to get 50% off.

The party atmosphere starts mid-afternoon and continues until well after sunset, with live DJs and music throughout the evening.

After dark, the crowd moves to Atlas Superclub, a three-storey nightclub on the same site. This new-ish club has already attracted some big artists, including Disclosure and Martin Garrix.

However, entry to the superclub is not included with the beach club. Men have to pay another 200,000 IDR (including a free drink). Entry is free for women. Again, you can book sofas and booths which come with minimum spend requirements.
