Just 30 minutes along the coast from Canggu is one of Bali’s newest and most ambitious projects, Nuanu Creative City.
The futuristic city is home to many attractions, including a huge beach club, a modern spa, a 360° theatre, numerous art installations, several hotels and restaurants, and even an international school. There’s a small entry fee, which is waived if you have tickets to a paid experience (we'll explain the difference later).
We’ve visited Nuanu City multiple times now, and honestly, we’re still figuring out how everything works here. But if it’s your first time, we’ve put together a guide to explain the basics, as well as a list of our favourite things to see and do here.
What Is Nuanu City?

It’s difficult to put into words what exactly Nuanu City is. It’s unlike anywhere else we’ve ever been before. Officially, it's an "experiential creative and cultural park" that blends nature, art, technology, wellness, and entertainment.
The project was founded by Russian entrepreneur Sergey Solonin and spans more than 44 hectares along the Tananan coast, with a wide variety of attractions and experiences spread throughout.
In line with the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana (harmony among humans, nature, and spirits), the park aims to keep 70% of its land green and undeveloped, and has a strong commitment to sustainability and supporting the local community.
Our Quick Take

To be honest, if your time in Bali is limited, Nuanu City isn't an essential stop. But if you're returning for the second or third time, or spending extended time in Bali, it's definitely a fun place to spend a day.
There’s something for everyone at Nuanu, whether you’re a couple like us, a family with young kids to entertain, or exploring with a group of friends.
Some of our favourite things to do at Nuanu include exploring the immersive art installations after dark, hanging out at Luna Beach Club, and relaxing at Lumeria Spa. There's also plenty of open green space, beautiful gardens, educational areas, and even an Alpaca Farm.

With so many activities spread out across such a huge complex, it's important that you plan ahead and have an idea of which attractions you’d like to see in advance. Some also require pre-purchased tickets. We'll explain more about each of them below.
Logistically, visiting Nuanu is super easy. There's a large parking area near the entrance, all venues accept card payments, and you can get around using the free shuttle service, which has pick-up points throughout the park.

How Pricing Works

It took us several visits before we properly understood how the pricing works at Nuanu City.
There are both free and paid activities inside the park. The paid activities can be purchased online, at the park entrance, or at the entrance to that specific activity.
The on-the-door park entrance fee for international visitors is 75,000 IDR ⓘ on weekdays and 150,000 IDR ⓘ on weekends.
It's cheaper to book online in advance, with the first 100 tickets for each day priced at just 20,000 IDR ⓘ, then 50,000 IDR ⓘ per ticket after. Under 12’s are free.
If you pre-book a paid activity, the park entry fee is usually included. This includes booking a table or sunlounger at Luna Beach Club if it has a minimum spend.
So, if you’re planning to do any paid activities during your visit, it’s best to book at least one of them in advance and show your ticket at the entrance so you don't have to pay the park admission fee.
Here is a breakdown of the activities and their pricing, correct at time of writing (June 2026):
Earth Sentinels | Free |
Aurora Media Park | Free |
Magic Garden | Free |
Luna Beach Club | Varies depending on seating area & event |
The Labyrinth Dome | Shows from 150,000 IDR |
Lumeira Spa | Day pass from 350,000 IDR |
Alpha Wolf Lodge | Meet the wolves from 210,000 IDR |
Pacha Alpaca | Experiences from 150,000 IDR |
Things To Do at Nuanu City
The name Nuanu City has a double meaning – it’s built in an area called "Nyani," and the word also comes from a Balinese phrase that fittingly means "in process," as the project is continuously evolving. Every time we visit, there are always new things to do and lots of temporary events or exhibitions.
These are some of our favourite attractions and activities at Nuanu City:
1. Earth Sentinels

These two giant face sculptures are the most iconic landmarks in Nuanu City. Made from a combination of concrete and living plants, they represent harmony between humans and the natural world.
In the evening, they come alive with a stunning immersive projection mapping show. We recommend visiting around sunset or after dark to really see them at their most impressive. Although this is also the time they get the busiest!
2. Aurora Media Park

Aurora is Bali's first outdoor multimedia park, with many unusual sculptures and artworks spread throughout a 1km hidden forest trail. After dark (6:30pm), they transform into amazing AI-powered light and sound installations, many of which are triggered by motion sensors as you pass by.
The trail entrance is near the Earth Sentinels, so it's easy to visit these together. You can double back on yourself or continue to the end of the trail near Lumeria Spa. We did the entire trail, and it took us around an hour in total, including time to enjoy the installations.
Being in a forest, we did come away with a few mosquito bites after our visit, so make sure you bring plenty of bug spray (or long clothes) if you're planning to explore the trail after dark.
3. Luna Beach Club

Nuanu's Luna is one of our favourite beach clubs in Bali. It’s designed to feel more like a festival ground, with a sprawling open plan and unique several Burning Man-esque sculptures, including the iconic Luna Rising and the THK Tower (a lighthouse with 3D projection mapping).
There are several different areas of the club to explore, including a lagoon pool and a large beer garden. But our favourite is definitely Utopia Cave Club, which has a large infinity pool, a swim-up bar, and even a water slide!
By day, Luna is a family-friendly place to relax in the sunshine, with plenty of well-spaced-out daybeds and even a sweet shop. After dark, things get a little livelier with big parties featuring live DJs, fire dancers, and performers.

There are multiple food and drink options at Luna Beach Club. Restaurant 369 is the most iconic and high-end - we had a fantastic Sunday Roast here. But our absolute favourite meal had to be the BBQ meats at Luna Beer Garden, where they even set our ribs on fire before serving them!
Pricing at Luna varies depending on what events are on. Their website states a 250,000 IDR ⓘ entry fee, which includes a drink. We've visited several times but have never paid this - we've either reserved a table/bed with a minimum spend or signed up for the free guest list for special events.
4. The Labyrinth Dome

The Labyrinth is an immersive 360-degree dome theatre that hosts digital art installations, meditation sessions, immersive “planetarium-style” films, and live cultural performances.
Even if you don’t go inside for a show, look out for the building when you're moving around the park at night - it has cool projections on the outside (a bit like the iconic Sphere in Las Vegas).
5. Lumeira Spa

Lumeira Spa in Nuanu City is one of our favourite day spas in Bali. The modern wellness complex has hydrotherapy pools, jacuzzis, a flower bath, saunas, ice baths, and guided steam rituals.
We loved the wood-fired sauna with a huge glass front overlooking the jungle behind. We only spent a couple of hours here, but could have stayed all afternoon. They also host regular social wellness events, including after-dark spa parties once a month.
6. Alpha Wolf Lodge

Perhaps one of Nuanu’s more unusual attractions is Alpha Wolf Lodge, where you can meet a pack of beautiful, rescued wolves and dog-wolf hybrids. The wolves were all well looked after with their own house and a huge garden to run and play in.
Wolves might sound scary, but they were very used to being around humans. It was more like cuddling and feeding a group of giant, friendly puppies – Emily didn't want to leave!
There is a basic ticket that gives you access only to the Alpha Wolf Lodge cafe, where you can observe the wolves in their garden. But if you're going to visit, it's better to get the full "meet the wolves" package so you can actually go inside and say hi!
7. Pacha Alpaca

Pacha Alpaca is a small farm in Nuanu that's home to 7 friendly alpacas. We did their shorter "Meet the Alpacas" experience, which lasted for around 20 minutes and allowed us to feed and pet them.
The alpacas were gentle and approachable, though they seemed more interested in the food than in us. If you want something more immersive, other options allow you to walk them and even stay in one of the on-site farm lodges overnight.
8. Magic Garden

The Magic Garden is home to several large greenhouses with collections of orchids, other botanicals, and butterflies. We also enjoyed wandering through the garden full of endangered Balinese trees and plants, and petting some friendly bunnies in the rabbit pen.
Plus, these gardens aren't just a tourist attraction. Their insect lab, butterfly breeding program, and orchid nursery aim to increase local insect and butterfly survival, which is beneficial for the whole ecosystem. Unfortunately, the Biota Lab (home to a variety of insects) was closed during our visit.
You’ll probably enjoy the Magic Garden if you're interested in flowers and insects, or are visiting with younger children, but we wouldn’t consider it a must-visit on your first trip to Nuanu.
Sustainability at Nuanu
Nuanu has such a big commitment to sustainability, community, and education that it deserves a mention.
Here are some of the key initiatives:
They've reserved 70% of the land as green space and dedicated only 30% to construction.
They’ve planted over 15,000 trees to enhance local biodiversity.
They aim to recycle 70% of all waste produced in the city.
They already have a fleet of electric buses, golf carts, and over 100 bikes, and aim to use 100% renewable energy by 2027.
They provide free art programs for local children.
They have a welfare program to look after local street dogs.
