5 Best Burger Joints in Canggu, Bali

Canggu is celebrated for its healthy food scene, with smoothie bowls, plant-based cafes, and organic eateries galore. But even in this health-conscious haven, balance is key, and sometimes nothing satisfies like a delicious, juicy burger.

Being big burger lovers ourselves, we've eaten at our fair share of Canggu burger joints over the last couple of years, and have gradually managed to narrow down our faves. From gourmet creations to budget-friendly indulgences, here's where to find the most mouth-watering burgers in Canggu.

Naked Bun

Located right in the heart of Canggu, comfort-food haven Naked Bun is known for its fantastic craft burgers, made with juicy prime beef patties, soft brioche buns, and their tightly guarded secret sauce.

The "For The Love of Cheese" burger is our absolute favourite burger in Canggu for an indulgent and super-filling treat. The huge burger is covered in three types of delicious cheese and served with a large bowl of cheddar parmesan fondue for dunkin'. It's rather messy, so not the best order for impressing a first date.

You can also pick from their Ozzie-style burger with a fried egg and beetroot, the towering double-patty Monster Burger, or the crumbly Chicken Snitty.

BO$$MAN BURGERS

Previously a Seminyak staple, popular BO$$MAN has recently opened a second burger joint in Canggu, right on bustling Batu Bolong. The fast-food spot is known for its cool urban vibe (hip-hop tunes on repeat!) and commitment to high-quality ingredients and bold flavors.

Their 60-day dry-aged chuck steaks are shaped in-house daily, their pork is cooked low and slow for 18 hours until juicy and tender, and all sauces are 100% homemade.

Don't miss the best-selling Numero Uno, topped with bacon, smoked cheddar, creole chutney, aioli, and house-smoked BBQ sauce. Pair your burger with their flavor-packed jalapeño poppers or loaded truffle fries for the full experience.

BOSSMAN is one of the more expensive Canggu burger joints, but it's worth it for the high-quality meat and huge 160g patties. Plus, the store is open daily until 3am, making it the perfect stop after a big night out.

Bonza Burger

Bonza Burger has long been our go-to Canggu hangover cure, providing the perfect next-day indulgence when we're craving something deliciously hearty and greasy (who need McDs anyway!).

With a range of classic burgers starting at just 40,000 IDR, Bonza is an easy choice for a no-frills budget-friendly feast. The Cheese Royal is my fave, with its juicy beef patty, melted cheese, sauteed onions, and special house sauce.

Most burgers contain a 90g beef patty, a little smaller than elsewhere on this list, leaving plenty of room for their fantastic range of sides, including wings, mac & cheese, and the delectable cheese and gravy-soaked poutine we order every time.

Primarily a takeout spot, Bonza is available on Grab and GoFood, but it also offers a few tables for those who prefer to dine in.

BB52 Burgers

BB52 is another fantastic modern burger joint in Canggu specializing in delicious craft burgers and comfort food.

Their signature BB52 Burger comes loaded with a mouthwateringly tender and juicy smashed beef patty, melted cheddar, bacon, caramelized onions, and smokey BBQ sauce.

For something a little different, opt for a creative signature burger. The Pantone Truffle comes with white cheese, tempura onion, truffle mayo mushrooms, and Russian dressing on a pretzel bun, while the Crispy Honey Chicken is topped with a unique mix of strawberry conserve, feta, honey, and sour pickles.

The mountain of truffle parmesan fries and creamy breadcrumb-topped mac & cheese round off a meal at BB52 perfectly.

Nüde

Nüde offers a fresh take on traditional comfort food, focusing on delicious dishes made with organic ingredients and no hidden nasties. And their "Sometimes Naughty, Always Nice" motto rings no truer with their succulent burgers, proving that balance really is key.

Nüde's Babakan and Berawa stores are famous for their 2-for-1 burger deal every Wednesday, dishing up some of the best value burgers in Canggu.

The burger menu may be small but it caters to everyone, featuring the classic Nüde burger and buttermilk fried chicken burger for meat eaters, while vegetarians and pescatarians can enjoy the mushroom burger, spiced chickpea burger, and the popular barramundi burger.
