Southern Bali's Bukit Peninsula (Uluwatu and Nusa Dua) is where you'll find many of the island's prettiest beaches, with soft white sands and vibrant turquoise waters perfect for a day of relaxation. Uluwatu also attracts the island's surf crowd thanks to its world-class waves.
The Nusa Islands, off the east coast of Bali, are also known for their stunning white sand beaches. Penida has the most picturesque coastline, but the cliff-backed beaches are more difficult to reach. Lembongan is better for a chilled-out beach break.
Along the west coast, Seminyak and Canggu are home to some of the liveliest beaches and are great for enjoying a sunset beer at one of the many luxury beach clubs or beachfront bars.
Or, if you'd rather avoid the crowds, northern Bali's volcanic black sands offer a more peaceful coastal escape.
