11 Best Beach Clubs in Uluwatu, Bali [+ Map]

Uluwatu’s beach clubs come in all shapes and sizes. From the upmarket Savaya, which attracts some of the world’s top artists and biggest DJs, to hidden gems such as Locca, which are perfect for a day of peaceful relaxation by the sea.

After making our way around pretty much all of them, we’ve compiled this guide to our favourite beach clubs in Uluwatu and across the wider Bukit Peninsula. We've included our experience, the general vibe, when and why you should visit, and any entrance fees or minimum spends.

1. Sundays

Best beach club for: Soaking up the sun with your toes in the sand

While most of the island's best beach clubs sit behind the beach or on the clifftops above, Sundays have their very own private beachfront. The beautiful stretch of white sand is lined with bean bags and sunbeds where you can spend the day relaxing, eating, swimming, and sunbathing.

Their famous cable car takes you most of the way down the steep cliff, with amazing views over the coastline along the way. But there are still a few flights of steps to conquer at the bottom.

There’s no swimming pool at Sundays. There again, who needs a pool when you have the beautiful turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean right in front of you? Thanks to an offshore break, the waves here are surprisingly calm and perfect for swimming. We also love using the club's free kayaks and paddleboards.

Sundays is part of the 5-star Ungasan Clifftop Resort, which is known for its cliff-edge infinity pool. Resort guests get free access, while there's an entrance fee and minimum spend for non-guests starting at 800,000 IDR ⓘ (with 500,000 IDR towards food and drink credits).

VIP loungers and cabanas are available for an additional fee, but we usually opt for standard entry and arrive before midday to claim some bean bags on the beach (first-come, first-served).

Each evening, Sundays puts on sunset sessions with live music and bonfires along the beach so you can toast marshmallows as the sun goes down. They also have Asado BBQ nights, movies on the beach, and wellness sessions every week.

2. El Kabron

Best beach club for: A stylish sunset pool party

El Kabron is a lively beach club perched on the clifftop next to Dreamland Beach. The upmarket spot has an incredible ocean view and serves some of the best Spanish food we've tried in Bali — don't miss the patatas bravas!

But our absolute favourite thing about visting El Kabron is their elaborate daily sunset pool parties...

Every afternoon from around 3 PM, a DJ sets the vibe, joined later by incredible sax, trumpet, and violin players who elevate classic tracks with their live performances.

As the sun started to dip below the horizon, waitresses walked through the crowd handing out sparklers, smoke machines filled the air, and guests twirled handkerchiefs to the music. Whenever we thought the party had peaked, it only got better and better.

However, El Kabron isn't somewhere to go on a budget. Every seating area has a minimum spend, starting at 400,000 IDR ⓘ for the restaurant tables without pool access.

But to properly enjoy this club, we'd highly recommend getting a pool-access day bed, which starts at 1,800,000 IDR ⓘ per person.

If the pool parties aren’t for you, consider heading to their sunset theatre which sits slightly further down the cliff. It has a more laid-back atmosphere with cosy sofas overlooking the ocean.

3. Savaya

Best beach club for: Partying with world-famous DJs

Savaya scoops the prize when it comes to the most impressive venue. Located on a 100m high clifftop on the Bukit Peninsula, the iconic beach club has two large infinity pools with swim-up bars, overlooked by its iconic cube bar which is seemingly suspended over the cliff edge.

Savaya is a popular hangout spot among Bali's chic and affluent crowd, so make sure you dress to impress. It has opulent décor and many VIP tables and booths.

The club is best known for attracting many world-famous DJs and artists, including the likes of Calvin Harris, Fisher, Kygo, Jason Derulo, Eric Prydz, and Camelphat. When big artists are playing, it’s a ticketed event so you’ll need to book ahead.

On non-event days, there's still a party vibe - especially on weekends. Standard entry costs 175,000 IDR ⓘ, although you can often secure free guestlist before a certain time by messaging them on Instagram.

If you're staying for the day and want your own seating area, a deckchair or daybed is a better option. These come with a minimum spend commitment starting at 2,000,000 IDR ⓘ for 4 people in the lounge area.

We've only ever partied here so we haven't tried the food, but the menu includes a selection of pizza, sandwiches, salads, rice bowls, and sushi which we've heard is excellent.

4. Tropical Temptation

Best beach club for: Creative cocktails overlooking the ocean

Tropical Temptation is a stylish beach club overlooking the beautiful Melasti Beach. With its tribal art, giant statues, and earthy textures, the venue blends Balinese charm with Tulum’s bohemian flair.

The beach club has several infinity pools, including one that extends out over the beach and another with lagoon-style day beds and floating bean bags. There's also direct beach access so you can easily enjoy the powdery white sands of Melasti.

The cocktails here are one of the highlights, with unique recipes and creative presentations. One of ours arrived in a whole coconut, while another come in a bamboo tube. While not the cheapest, both the food and drinks were fantastic.

Tropical Temptation is more of a daytime club than a late-night spot, with DJs wrapping up shortly after sunset, so it’s best to arrive early and make the most of your visit.

Keep an eye out for special events — we visited during a cocktail competition and got to try some incredible creations from the island’s top mixologists.

There's no entry fee to visit Tropical Temptation, but towel hire costs 50,000 IDR ⓘ (you can't bring your own in), and a minimum spend applies for all day beds, loungers, sofas, etc.

5. White Rock Beach Club

Best beach club for: A fun family day out by the pool

White Rock ticks all the boxes of what a good beach club should be... Huge infinity pools overlooking the ocean, lagoon daybeds, direct beach access, fantastic drinks, and a lively all-day vibe!

The large beach club sits just above popular Melasti Beach on the south coast. Centred around a DJ booth and dance floor, there's an adults-only infinity pool with a swim-up bar on the east side, and another big family pool on the west, so there's somewhere for everyone to enjoy.

There's direct access down to the beach via a short flight of stairs. The ocean at the bottom was stunning and perfect for a refreshing dip to cool down (it's much colder than the pools!).

During our weekend visit, a DJ hit the decks around 3pm, accompanied by a foam party on the dancefloor, which was mostly just us and several small children playing in the foam - we all had a great time!

White Rock is definitely one of the busier and livelier all-day beach clubs in Uluwatu, with most day beds taken from when we arrived until after sunset, but without the upmarket party vibe of the likes of Savaya and El Kabron, making it a great spot for families.

Entry is free, but all seating areas (other than the restaurant) have quite a high minimum spend, between 2,000,000-4,000,000 IDR . However, if you book a bed in advance and arrive before 2pm, the minimum spend is halved (you need to book by 1pm for same day).

6. Klive Beach Club

Best beach club for: Ocean and watersport lovers

Klive Beach Club sits right next door to Sundays on beautiful Melasti Beach. But instead of being directly on the sand, the club is built into the cliffside across seven cascading levels that lead down toward the beach.

The chilled beach club has a 250,000 IDR entry fee ⓘ, which includes the cable car down, a towel, and either deckchairs on the upper terrace deck, a bar table, or beanbags (no min spend).

Their lower Wave Watchers Deck also has 4-person daybeds (minimum spend 2,000,000 IDR ⓘ) with amazing ocean-front views. This is our favourite area if we're sticking around all day, as it's closest to both the pool and the beach.

Despite sitting a little above the beach, Klive has a short staircase that goes from the lower deck down to the sand. At the bottom is a gorgeous stretch of white sand and calm turquoise waters. Despite having a bed, we ended up spending a lot of our visit on the beach.

Much like its neighbour, there are free kayaks and paddleboards for guests to use (when the tide is right). During our last visit, Klive was much quieter than Sundays, so there wasn't a line, and we got to spend longer out on the ocean.

Prices at Klive are reasonable, and the food was delicious. They also have some great happy hour drink deals later in the day. Stick around until sunset for epic views with live music and mellow DJ beats.

7. Ulu Cliff House

Best beach club for: Watching a movie under the stars

Ulu Cliff House is a clifftop day club on the western coast of Uluwatu. On the top level, you’ll find a huge 25m pool surrounded by day beds looking out over the ocean.

This is one of our favourite sunset spots in Uluwatu. We recommend sitting on the terrace area that overhangs the ocean for a peaceful sunset view. The seating fills up quickly, so get here early.

As the night goes on, attention turns to the ocean deck which can be reached down an unassuming set of steps to the left of the pool. This is where the evening parties take place, with two bars and a central dance floor.

We rarely visit Uluwatu without stopping by Ulu Cliff House. Our favourite time to visit is Tuesday evening when you can enjoy the club's open-air movie from the day beds, accompanied by a delicious pizza.

There's no entrance fee for Ulu Cliff House, but minimum spend applies for some seating areas. On weekdays, this starts at 500,000 IDR ⓘ for 4 people, making it one of the more affordable options in Uluwatu. The menu prices are fairly reasonable too.

If you can’t get enough of the clifftop views, you can also stay at Ulu Cliffhouse in one of the seven individually styled suites that overlook the ocean.

8. Single Fin

Best beach club for: A wild Sunday night party

Single Fin is a beach club perched on the cliffs above Uluwatu/Suluban Beach, one of Bali’s most famous surf spots. It’s a picturesque place to enjoy the sunset in Uluwatu, but you’ll need to get there early to secure one of the better seats.

During the day, the spacious club has a laid-back atmosphere with a large infinity pool and many day beds perfect for soaking up the sun. Their menu includes everything from sliders and tacos to pizza and salad. And the prices are pretty reasonable compared to other beach clubs.

But it's after dark when Single Fin really comes alive, with live music or a DJ most nights. Our favourite time to visit is the weekend for their huge "Sunday Sessions" event — Uluwatu’s biggest Sunday night party, running until around 2am.

Single Fin is free entry during the day, and there are plenty of tables without a minimum spend.

9. Locca Sea House

Best beach club for: Escaping the crowds

Locca Sea House is a lesser-known beach club at the top of the Bukit Peninsula, closer to Jimbaran then Uluwatu. Its unique nautical theme sets it apart from the other clubs, while still keeping the cool bohemian vibe you’d expect in Bali.

The club's huge infinity pool looks out across the ocean, offering an excellent view around sunset as the sky turns a multitude of colours.

This newer club is still relatively under the radar, making it a great escape from Uluwatu’s busier beach clubs. With its stylish setting, we wouldn’t be surprised if it gets more popular soon.

The staff at Locca are incredibly friendly and were even kind enough to upgrade us to a day bed as the club was quiet when we visited. Despite a DJ kicking off a great set, the crowd quickly thinned out after dark, so we’d suggest it more as a chilled daytime spot.

10. Timbis Beach Club

Best beach club for: A low-key pool day

Timbis Beach Club is a new mini beach club on Timbis Beach, which sits right next to better-known Pandawa Beach on the Bukit's south coast. Although small, it’s a stylish and modern spot with sun beds, bean bags, day beds, and tables in its onsite restaurant.

If you’re looking for somewhere on the Bukit Peninsula for a low-key pool day next to a peaceful beach with excellent amenities, Timbis ticks all the boxes.

The small infinity pool is perfectly positioned for watching the surfers catch waves just offshore as the paragliders fly by overhead. They even offer surfboard and kayak hire if you want to head out on the water for a while.

Most of the seating (except the restaurant) has a minimum spend, but this is much lower than other beach clubs in Uluwatu, starting at just 200,000 IDR ⓘ per person.

11. OneEighty

Best beach club for: Some iconic Instagram photos

OneEighty is an elegant clifftop day club that’s part of The Edge, a 5-star resort in Uluwatu with luxury villas overlooking the ocean. The day club is open to everyone, not just resort guests.

The most famous feature is the infinity pool, which extends 6m over the cliff edge. It has a glass bottom and sides, allowing you to watch the waves crashing against the cliffs below. There's also a cascading lagoon pool running through lush greenery before meeting the main pool.

Keep in mind that both of these are popular photo spots, so you certainly won’t have them to yourself. We had to wait to take photos in both locations, then move out of the way for the next people. You can only really swim and relax in the main pool area away from the edge.

Regular admission is 500,000 IDR ⓘ per person: 100,000 IDR for the entry fee and 400,000 IDR food and drinks credit. This includes access to the pool and a sunbed. If you want a private cabana by the pool, the entry price jumps significantly.

This is one of the smaller day clubs in Uluwatu, with only a limited number of beds available for standard entry. We once turned up at 1pm on a Sunday, and it was already full, so we had to book and return the next day. To guarantee entry, we'd definitely suggest booking in advance.
