With its central location in the heart of Bali, Ubud might not have any beach clubs nearby, but it makes up for this with a collection of unique pool clubs overlooking the island’s lush jungles and stunning valley landscapes.
From cascading rice field views to jungle hideaways, here are our favourite pool clubs in Ubud. Just keep in mind that some are up to 30 minutes from the town centre and may have a minimum spend - we'll share all the details we can below.
1. Cretya Sunset
Best for: A sunset soak with rice field views

While Cretya's original venue overlooking Tegallalang Rice Terraces will always remain iconic (see number 4 below), we much prefer their newer venue, Cretya Sunset, just 15 minutes away.
It's still got that lively pool club vibe and amazing rice terrace views you'd expect from Cretya, but it's bigger and less overcrowded, so we find the experience more enjoyable.

During the mid-afternoon heat, we love hanging out in their huge infinity pool or relaxing on a daybed and soaking in the views. But as the sun sets and it gets a little cooler, people move to the six giant, bubbling jacuzzis, one of which sits in a tower overlooking the entire venue.
Entrance with a towel and pool access is 100,000 IDR per person. If you want a daybed or lounger by the pool, there's a minimum spend commitment starting from 1,000,000 IDR per group.

The pool club is fairly quiet during the day, but starts getting busy around 4pm when the DJ hits the decks and people arrive to enjoy the stunning sunset over the neighbouring rice terraces.
Food options include sushi, charcuterie, pizza, seafood, and more. Look out for their special Bali-inspired cocktails, which come served in unique ways, such as the Balneum Ocean (pictured) served in a mini bathtub, complete with a rubber duck.
2. TUJU Tropic Club
Best for: A chilled pool day close to the town centre

Opened in 2024, TUJU Tropic Club is definitely still a hidden gem in Ubud. We just happened to spot it when driving past, but it turned out to be one of our favourite pool clubs for a chilled afternoon of relaxing in the sunshine.
The venue is surprisingly big, with a two-storey bamboo restaurant, a large two-tiered pool with a swim-up bar, and seemingly endless outdoor seating areas.
While there’s no entry fee, there’s a minimum spend of 300,000 IDR ⓘ if you want to use the pool (which you obviously do!).

Food and drink prices are reasonable, especially during happy hour (2-5pm) when you can enjoy their range of signature cocktails for just 100,000 IDR ⓘ each. The main pool and restaurant close at 11pm, but if you’re not ready to leave, the Jungle Lounge is an intimate indoor cocktail bar that stays open later.
Of all the pool clubs on this list, Tuju is the most accessible from Central Ubud, just a 5-minute drive or a 15 minute walk along a quiet road from the town centre.

3. The Jungle Club Ubud
Best for: Cocktails in the pool with lush jungle views

While most of Ubud’s day clubs overlook the rice terraces to the north, The Jungle Club Ubud offers something different – a hidden hideaway among Bali's dense tropical jungles around 20-25 minutes south of the town centre.
The new day club has a cool, upmarket vibe, with a stylish bamboo restaurant, stunning infinity pools, and DJs playing throughout the day. There's also a fairly unusual cave lounge and pool for when you need a break from the sun.

The club offers free entry if you just want to use the pool and bar, but all seating areas have a minimum spend. There are some great options for bigger groups, including the poolside sunken lounge for 8 people (which we enjoyed with friends) and the boho cave for up to 20.
The staff were very friendly, and table service was fast (they even served us drinks directly to the pool). Let them know if you’re celebrating a special occasion - it was two of our friends’ birthdays, so the staff surprised them with a cake and giant placards with their names!
Being relatively new and further from the centre, the Jungle Club is currently quieter than better-known spots like Cretya. But we'd still suggest booking a table area in advance to get extra food and drink credits - you'll find deals online.

4. Cretya
Best for: THAT iconic photo and an all-day pool party vibe

Cretya is the most famous day club in Ubud, located around 20 minutes north of the town centre. It has three tiered infinity pools, jacuzzis, netted hammocks, and a 360-degree DJ deck, all overlooking the beautiful Tegallang rice fields.
The popular day club can get very busy, but if you’re looking for a lively all-day party, there’s nowhere better. If you’d prefer something more chilled or family-friendly, you might want to consider one of the quieter day clubs like TUJU or D’Tukad.

Entrance to Cretya costs 150,000 IDR ⓘ per person, which includes a drink and access to the pool and restaurant. Day beds require a minimum spend, starting from 3,000,000 IDR ⓘ for 2 people. We usually pay the entrance fee and hang out in the pools. There's a free (unsecured) area to leave bags and clothes.
Cretya is part of the larger Alas Harum complex, which has two restaurants, private rice terraces with the Insta-famous gorilla face cave, ziplines over the rice fields, and lots of photo opportunities (some of these activities have extra charges).
Keep in mind that there’s also a 25,000 IDR ⓘ per person tax for visiting Tegallang rice terraces, payable in cash when you arrive.
5. Omma Day Club
Best for: Combining a day club with a waterfall visit

Omma is the only day club we’ve ever visited that overlooks a giant waterfall. Around a 30-minute drive from Ubud town centre, the modern club has an amazing infinity pool with the perfect view over the mighty Tegenungan Waterfall.
To visit the waterfall along the public path, you’d have to climb around 200 steps. Luckily, Omma has an elevator and its own direct path with a more manageable 30 steps, so it’s a great hack to combine an afternoon at a pool club and one of Bali's best waterfalls.
When we last visited, the restaurant was packed with tour groups stopping here for lunch, but the rest of the club, including the pool, were much quieter. A DJ keeps the place feeling lively, but it’s definitely not a club for partying.

There’s no entry fee for Omma, but if you want a lounger, you’ll need to commit to a minimum spend (starting at 1,500,000 IDR ⓘ for up to 3 people).
Since we were short on time, we ate at the restaurant that didn’t have a minimum spend (despite what their website claims), then used the pool for free afterward.

6. Jungle Fish
Best for: A chilled family day by the pool

Located around 15-20 minutes from central Ubud, Jungle Fish is a peaceful pool club with a single-level infinity pool and an open-air restaurant, all set among lush jungles and overlooking the river valley below. It’s a great choice for couples or families looking for a quieter, more relaxed vibe away from the crowds.
There's a variety of seating options, from dining tables and sun loungers to sofa areas, cave tables, and hanging daybeds, which offer a little extra privacy and shade from the sun. Most seating areas overlook the pool, making it easy to keep an eye on little ones in the water.

There's a delicious menu of Western sharing bites, burgers, pastas, pizzas, salads, and a varied kids' options. Ask about their special food deals throughout the day.
The pool club is part of the Chapung Sebali resort, but outside guests are welcome to visit. There’s no entry fee, but a minimum spend applies if you’re not a resort guest, starting at just 250,000 IDR ⓘ per person.

7. D’Tukad Coffee Club
Best for: Laid-back pool club vibes overlooking the rice terraces

Close to Cretya but without the crazy crowds, D’Tukad Coffee Club is the perfect spot for a quieter pool experience while still enjoying the iconic view of the Tegallang rice terraces.
D’Tukad has a huge infinity pool that extends out over the terraces, and a multi-level restaurant that cascades down the hillside behind it. With no entrance fee or minimum spend and reasonable food and drink prices, we often stop here for a quick drink overlooking the terraces whenever in the area.

There’s a 100,000 IDR ⓘ fee to use the swimming pools (which includes a towel and drink, so it's pretty reasonable). As with Cretya, there’s also a 25,000 IDR ⓘ tax to visit the terraces, payable in cash.
The restaurant itself gets full around lunchtime, as it’s also popular with tour groups. We’ve always been lucky to get a walk-in table, but if you’re with a larger group, it’s definitely worth booking ahead.
