Where to Eat on Nusa Lembongan: Restaurant Guide

Known for its rustic and laid-back island vibe, Nusa Lembongan may not be as developed as mainland Bali, but it still has its fair share of great places to eat.

From healthy brunches on the beach to freshly caught seafood and international flavours, there's a surprising range of fantastic restaurants in Nusa Lembongan. And as huge foodies ourselves, we've been making our way around as many as possible across our numerous visits.

In this post, we've put together a list of 13 of our absolute favourite places to eat on Nusa Lembongan and Ceningan.

Best Lembongan Cafes and Brunch Spots:

Ombak Zero Waste Cafe

Ombak Zero Waste Cafe has long been one of our favourite spots for brunch on Lembongan. It’s a cute, sustainability-focused cafe right on Jungutbatu, overlooking the beach's white sand and turquoise waters.

The breakfast menu includes everything from smashed avocado (my fave!) and eggs benny to croissants, pancakes, and smoothie bowls. Every dish is delicious, but make sure you leave room for their homemade banana bread - it's amazing!

Breakfast is served until 12pm daily, so don't leave it too late or you'll miss out.

While we love Ombak for its fantastic brunch selection, you can also swing by for lunch or dinner to try its range of salads, burgers, and curries. The cafe has live music every Wednesday and Saturday around sunset.

Bali Eco Deli

Hidden away in a lovely little secluded garden off Jungutbatu's main road, Bali Eco Deli is a charming eco-conscious café that offers a blend of healthy, homemade food and a commitment to sustainability.

The all-day breakfast menu features the likes of pancakes, french toast, omelets, and eggs on toast, as well as their popular pitta plates with hummus, veggies, and more. Plus don't forget to grab a healthy ice pop to go and head to the beach.

One of the things we love most about Bali Eco Deli is its eco-friendly practices, which include a strict no-plastic policy, a local recycling program, a waste water garden, and a small solar farm that produces around 2/3rds of their energy.

Let's Bake

One of the newest additions to Lembongan's cafe scene, Let's Bake is a modern French bakery and our go-to spot for flaky, buttery croissants that are authentic as they come.

Located on the main street of Jungutbatu, the spacious cafe has a relaxed tropical vibe, with rattan furnishings, quirky artwork, and a sand-covered outdoor seating area that's perfect for a long, leisurely brunch on a sunny day.

Beyond its unbeatable pastries and cakes (the pain au chocolat is my guilty pleasure), the menu features many French-inspired breakfast and lunch favourites, from a classic Croque Monsieur to indulgent, fruit-covered French toast.

Don't forget to grab a few scoops of Gusto’s gelato on the way out!

The General

The second we saw the sign for Blacklist Coffee — one of our fave Bali coffee brands — on the door, we knew that The General was going to become one of our favourite cafes in Lembongan.

With its sleek, modern design, The General feels more like a Canggu hotspot than a cafe on Bali’s Nusa Islands. The minimalist interiors and airy, open layout make it a stylish place to sip on expertly brewed coffee before enjoying a lazy day on Lembongan's gorgeous beaches.

Beyond great coffee, the Australian-style cafe has a daytime menu of brunch favorites and healthy bites, from smashed avo and smoothie bowls to loaded sandwiches and tasty toasties. Our go-to order is the Aussie brunch board, with toast, eggs, avo, bacon, hashbrowns, chia pudding, and mango.

Strangely enough, The General also features a gourmet homemade sausage roll on the menu. Naturally, as Brits, we had to try it — and yes, it's 100% worth ordering!

Casual All Day Dining on Lembongan:

Ginger & Jamu

Ginger & Jamu is another beachfront restaurant on Lembongan's central Jungutbatu that focuses on health-conscious and locally sourced whole foods.

All dishes are packed with fiber and nutrients, offering a wholesome selection from morning smoothie bowls and veggie-packed breakfasts to tacos, sandwiches, and colourful salad bowls. The hearty falafel bowl is my go-to order.

While there are a handful of meat options at Ginger & Jamu, the majority of the menu is vegan and vegetarian, so there's something for everyone.

The cafe has a large outdoor seating area overlooking the ocean, with tables and beanbags. G&J is located right next to Ohana's Beach Club, making it the perfect spot to grab lunch before spending the afternoon sipping cocktails in the sun.

Tigerlilys Beach Shack

For ultimate island vibes, head to Tigerlily's Beach Shack to enjoy delicious dishes and chilled cocktails with the sand between your toes and the sound of waves crashing in the background.

The small beachfront restaurant on Jungutbatu has a handful of tables, sunloungers, and beanbags right on the beachfront. You can order your food, then take a dip in the beach's turquoise waters while you wait for it to arrive.

Open every day from 8am until late, Tigerlily's is a great option for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The brunch menu is available until noon, with everything from healthy smoothie bowls to indulgent brekkie burgers and bangin' bagels. If you're coming later in the day, don't miss their legendary tacos.

The beachfront cafe is the perfect spot to watch the sunset over the ocean each evening, especially with their daily sunset happy hour and regular events such as live music Fridays and movie nights every Wednesday.

The Coconut Hut

The Coconut Hut is a breezy, open-air restaurant and bar on the northern corner of Jungutbatu. The spacious spot offers a laid-back island vibe, with plenty of al fresco seating, reggae tunes on repeat, and an 18-hole Bali-themed mini golf course in the garden. The course features Lembongan landmarks like the Yellow Bridge, along with many Balinese deities and Hindu temples.

The menu leans towards hearty Western-style pub grub, including burgers, hot dogs, pasta, curry, and tacos. They even serve a classic Sunday roast, but you'll need to preorder a day in advance.

Our top pick? The massive Ploughman’s board, loaded with cheese, meats, crackers, sun-dried tomatoes, and more. Those with a sweet tooth will also love the indulgent freakshakes, pancake stacks, and rich desserts.

By day, it’s a family-friendly hangout, but after dark, things can get rowdy — especially on free-flow booze nights.

Soka Warung

It may not look like much at first glance, but Soka Warung is a hidden gem near Mushroom Bay and one of our absolute favorite spots for delicious local food on Lembongan.

This popular warung serves up all the Balinese classics, from nasi and mie goreng to gado-gado and Balinese curry, all at incredibly affordable prices.

Be sure to ask about the catch of the day — when we visited, it was freshly caught barramundi. We don’t eat fish ourselves, but our friends swore it was one of the best meals they had on the entire island!

Oh, and despite its rustic charm, Soka Warung does accept card payments.

Alponte Ristorante

Heading away from the main tourist areas, Alponte Ristorante is a laid-back Italian restaurant overlooking the channel between Nusa Lembongan and Ceningan.

The restaurant has fantastic views of the famous Yellow Bridge and Lembongan's seaweed farms — you may even get to watch the local seaweed farmers at work while you eat.

There's a varied pizza menu, as well as plenty of classic Italian appetizers, pastas, salads, and main dishes. And don't forget to end your meal with their signature homemade tiramisu.

There's also a small Mediterranean-style pool overlooking the water for a refreshing dip after your meal and a handful of sunbeds and beanbags to relax in the sun.

If you don't have your own transport to get to this part of the island, Alponte offers a free return shuttle for guests.

Best Restaurants on Lembongan:

The Deck

If it's a romantic date night you're looking for, The Deck is the place to go. Sitting on the cliffs overlooking Jungutbatu Beach, the elegant little restaurant is the perfect spot to watch the sunset over the ocean while enjoying a delicious dinner and a few cocktails.

There's a great range of sharing plates and nibbles to pair with your drinks, including croquettes, arancini balls, and nachos. Or you can opt for one of their larger plates, specialising in freshly caught seafood and modern takes on Indonesian dishes.

Prices at The Deck are a little higher than elsewhere on the island, but it's worth it for the high quality and stunning setting. It's best to pre-book to get a good table around sunset. The restaurant is often full and you may have to wait a while to be seated.

Thai Pantry

Just a short walk along the coast from The Deck, Thai Pantry is another great spot to enjoy an early dinner while soaking in the beautiful Lembongan sunset.

As the name suggests, you can expect plenty of classic Thai dishes, including tom yum soup, spring rolls, gyozas, pad ka pow, and plenty of curries. The Pad Thai here is my absolute favourite — it's as authentic as it comes!

The clifftop restaurant is also known for its iconic camper-van bar, which serves a fantastic range of cocktails, wines, and drinks. There's a daily happy hour from 15:30 to 17:30.

Curry Traders

One of the more elegant dining spots in Lembongan, Curry Traders is a chic, open-air restaurant that combines a romantic ambiance, bold flavors, and an extravagant cocktail menu.

As the name suggests, curry is the star of the menu here, with dishes that creatively blend Indian, Sri Lankan, and Southeast Asian influences. You can expect rich, aromatic sauces and perfectly balanced spices.

We loved the butter chicken and spicy gunpowder potatoes, while the “water bubble shots” — bite-sized savory pastries with a shot of mint sauce — and the crispy pastry cigars served in a cigar box offer a fun shared dining experience with friends.

Don't forget to pair your meal with a signature cocktail — their cocktail list rivals some of Bali’s best bars. Lean into the restaurant's British Colonial vibe with a specialty gin-based cocktail, expertly crafted with premium spirits. Perfect for a romantic date night in Lembongan.

La Bianca

La Bianca is one of the most enchanting restaurants in Lembongan. During the day, you can enjoy the 180-degree views over the ocean, while at night, the romantic spot is bathed in the warm glow of hanging lights and flickering candles.

The al fresco European restaurant has a wood-fired pizza oven and large grill cooking up freshly caught fish, seafood skewers, and gourmet cuts of meat. There's a great selection of tapas to start and some mouth-watering desserts to round off a fantastic meal.

La Bianca is one of the pricier restaurants on the island, but it still offers great value for money and is hard to beat for a special occasion. On our last visit, we even spotted a wedding reception being hosted here.
