Thinking about celebrating New Year's Eve in Bali?
Whether you're looking for exclusive parties at world-class beach clubs, cheap and cheerful club nights, family-friendly celebrations, or intimate dinners with an ocean view, Bali is a fantastic NYE destination with something for everyone.
We've spent the last few years in Bali for Christmas and New Year's, and have experienced firsthand the incredible range of events the island has to offer over the holiday season.
In this guide, we’ve rounded up the best New Year’s Eve parties and events in Bali for 2025-26, so you can ring in the new year in style at some of the best spots on the island.
Best Area to Stay for NYE in Bali?
The best area to stay for New Year's Eve in Bali depends on the type of celebration you're looking for.
Seminyak and Canggu are home to the majority of the island's biggest beach clubs and nightclubs, many of which host huge NYE parties with top DJs and international artists, making it the ideal spot for partygoers. We've celebrated in Canggu for the last couple of years.
Uluwatu is where you'll find more upscale beach clubs and resorts offering stunning ocean views and sophisticated clifftop parties. It’s perfect if you're looking for a more luxurious celebration away from the main crowds.
Nusa Dua and Sanur are home to more high-end and family-friendly hotels and resorts. Many hotels in these areas offer extravagant NYE dinners and countdown events.
Ubud isn't as well-known for its parties and nightlife, despite being one of the island's top tourist towns. While there are a few parties in town, we'd only really recommend staying here if you're looking for a more laid-back New Year's Eve escape with dinner and fireworks.
NYE Traffic in Bali
One key thing to keep in mind when visiting Bali for New Year's is that traffic in the island's popular resort areas can become incredibly congested. On New Year's Eve, especially around midnight, traffic often grinds to a halt, making it very difficult to get taxis.
To avoid this, we highly recommend staying within walking distance of the party or event you're attending. Below, we've listed some hotel recommendations conveniently located near each event.

NYE Fireworks in Bali
You don't have to attend a big party or event to watch fireworks on New Year's Eve in Bali.
As the clock hits midnight, many of Bali's beaches transform into a spectacle of colorful pyrotechnics as the coastline lights up with countless fireworks.
Some of the best beaches to see fireworks in Bali include Batu Bolong, Berawa Beach, Petitenget Beach, and Seminyak Beach.
Just be warned, it can be a little chaotic on the beaches, with fireworks being fired in every direction. From experience, it's best not to stand in the middle of the crowds at midnight.
