Despite being a small coastal town in North Bali, there's now a fantastic selection of restaurants in Lovina. As the region becomes increasingly popular among international visitors, the area's food scene just continues to get better and better.
From local warungs and affordable street food to high-end European bistros and tapas bars, we've eaten our way around all the best spots in town. These are our favourite places to eat in Lovina right now.
Where to Eat in Lovina: Map
Most of the best restaurants in Lovina are located along the main road that runs parallel to Lovina Beach. While there are some restaurants right on the beach itself, we've found many of these to be tourist traps with below-average food.

1. The 10th Table
Best for: date night or a special occasion.

The 10th Table is an upmarket European-style bistro and one of the most sophisticated restaurants in Lovina, serving a French and Belgian-inspired menu of classic gourmet dishes (the owner is Belgian).
Only open for dinner, the menu features authentic flavours like escargot, oysters, duck liver terrine, and baked brie. Some dishes, like the steak tartare and crème caramel, are even prepared tableside for an extra special experience.
When we visited, we enjoyed the coq au vin (chicken in red wine) and the premium steak. But the highlight of our meal had to be the rich and gooey chocolate moelleux dessert (so good!).

Despite being on the main road, the restaurant feels tucked away, with most tables set in a softly lit garden surrounded by greenery. We’d definitely recommend booking a table in the garden area - we sat inside and didn’t like it as much.
It's one of the most expensive restaurants in Lovina, but definitely worth it. It's our favourite spot for a romantic date night with delicious, quality food.

2. The Global Village Foundation Kafe
Best for: comfort food that supports a good cause.

In the heart of Lovina, The Global Village Foundation Kafe is a not-for-profit social enterprise and restaurant that combines good food with good deeds. For a start, it's one of the few restaurants in Bali that employs all deaf/mute and physically disabled staff.
The amazing organisation also puts all its profits towards its charity, which helps improve the lives of the most disadvantaged people in Bali.
Their programs include a free rehabilitation therapy centre, distributing free wheelchairs for Indonesia's poorest disabled citizens, school sponsorship programs, and even conservation projects.

The rustic all-day cafe serves a menu of Indonesian and international flavours, with pizza, pasta, wraps, salads, vegan dishes, and lots of homemade cakes. We loved their curry selection and ordered the Japanese curry and chicken tika masala, which were both delicious!
Simply eating a meal at the cafe helps fund their fantastic projects. But you can also contribute further by buying the handmade goods from their small shop, donating a little extra, or sponsoring a project.
3. Rah Nah Tapas Bar & Restaurant
Best for: tasty tapas and drinks.

Rah Nah Tapas Bar is one of the newer restaurants in Lovina, but already a popular spot for a fun evening of sharing tapas, wine, and live music.
The restaurant specialises in European-style tapas, with a big menu to choose from. We ordered the Jamón croquetas (my favourite dish!), potato bravas, and spicy chicken popcorn. Other dishes included prawns, sliders, meatballs, and ceviche. All portions were perfect for sharing!

For something more substantial, they have a small menu of main dishes, including several pastas, seafood, and Australian tenderloin steak. There's also an extensive drinks menu, with plenty of classic and creative cocktails and affordable wines to pair with the food.
The large restaurant was very busy during our visit, with a live band creating a fun and lively atmosphere. We came as a couple, but there were also many families and big groups.
4. Warung Jepun
Best for: traditional Indonesian flavours.

Warung Jepun is one of our favourite places in Lovina to enjoy tasty and affordable Balinese and Indonesian dishes, just a short walk from central Lovina Beach.
The popular warung serves many local favourites, including nasi goreng (fried rice), chicken sate, ribs, beef rendang, crispy duck, and plenty of vegetarian options. We ordered the Balinese vegetable curry, which was fragrant and filling.
The warung has a quiet, laid-back vibe during the day, but gets busier in the evenings, with a live singer performing most nights.
5. COFFEENOSKY Coffee & Eatery
Best for: coffee and breakfast with a view.

COFFEENOSKY is an unsuspecting little cafe on the main road in Lovina that really surprised us. When we first walked in, the place seemed fairly basic. But after going upstairs, we discovered the beautiful terrace with views over the neighbouring rice terraces. Definitely sit upstairs!
For a small cafe, it had a surprisingly large all-day menu, with everything from egg dishes and smoothie bowls to burgers, pastas, grills, and Asian-inspired rice bowls. We tried the big brunch, which was super filling, and the creamy chicken in mushroom sauce, which was so tasty (especially for the low price!).
The cafe also does great specialty coffee made with local coffee beans, and some delicious freshly baked pastries and cakes. It's completely pork-free, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options too.
6. Taman Budaya (Lovina Food Court)
Best for: a wide variety of affordable dishes.

Lovina is one of the few places in Bali that's home to a food court that's popular among both locals and tourists.
Taman Budaya Lovina sits just off the main road and has a good selection of food vendors. Many serve local Indonesian dishes, but you can also find dim sum, Mexican street food, juices, burgers, and kebabs. Kieren ordered a Middle Eastern shawarma bowl, which was huge and filled both of us up!
The food here isn't the most gourmet in town, but it is super affordable and tasty. Plus, there's a lively atmosphere most evenings, with local families enjoying the kids' play area and regular live music or entertainment on the central stage. There was modern dance happening during our visit.
7. LakLak Gadang
Best for: trying local Balinese sweets.

LakLak Gadang is a hidden gem that we discovered on our last visit and is now one of our favourite foodie spots in Lovina. The tiny side-of-the-road shack serves one thing and one thing only - lak lak, aka traditional Balinese pancakes.
These small, round cakes are made from rice flour and coconut milk, with pandan leaf to make them their signature green colour. They're then topped with grated coconut and melted palm sugar to make one of our all-time favourite Balinese sweet treats!

At LakLak Gadang, the loveliest local women make the pancakes right in front of you, then serve them piping hot with a mug of fresh Balinese coffee. It's the perfect local breakfast or a tasty snack!
The shack has a rustic and quirky style, with several small wooden tables, one of which is in an unusual treehouse-like structure reached by a rather questionable bridge (all part of the fun!).
Opening times are flexible (it's open when it's open), but we'd suggest coming in the morning for the best chance of catching them.
